Our
Services
MHAMH offers a range of evidence-based educational skills designed to help retrain your brain. We provide not only the knowledge behind these skills but also the practical tools to apply them in your daily life. After completing the program, you’ll have access to therapy groups while you wait to be connected to an outpatient program in the city. Additionally, we connect you with community resources tailored specifically to your unique needs.
Psychoeducational Skills Groups
Our skills groups are designed to empower you to overcome everyday challenges and build a stronger, healthier life. You’ll dive into Insight Into Wellness, mastering essential life skills that pave the way to personal growth and resilience. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), you’ll gain powerful tools to understand and reshape the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and actions. With Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), you’ll discover how to embrace acceptance while driving meaningful change. Our Interpersonal Relationships sessions will help you cultivate deeper, more fulfilling connections with those around you. Finally, Discharge Planning will equip you with the confidence and resources to thrive beyond the program and continue your journey of healing.
Case Management & Psychiatry
MHAMH runs a case management model that supports not just the hospital to community system but the rehab and nursing models as well. Clients joining our program will be connected to a case manager and see them once a week. Our case managers are mental health therapist from the nursing and social work disciplines. All of our case managers are regulated professionals under the Professions Act. They all carry active licensure in good standing with their governing bodies. Clients with MHAMH will have the opportunity to be connected to a psychiatrist while they attend the groups package of the program. This will help us determine if you need to attend the therapy groups following completion of our psychoeducational skills groups.
Psychodynamic Therapy Groups
After completing the skills groups, some clients may benefit from additional care, though this isn’t necessary for everyone. If you already have a connection with an outpatient clinic that begins immediately after the skills groups, you’ll transition directly to their care. If not, we’ll work with you to explore the option of joining our therapy group sessions to continue supporting your progress.
